Think that means Miami is overlooking its opening night foe? The Hurricanes insist that couldn't be further from the truth.

He was aboard a plane making its descent back into Miami, when he peered out the window and tried to spot the Orange Bowl. He looked one way and then another, trying to spot the relic that was the epicenter of South Florida football for decades.
Wed, 27 Aug 2008 00:50:09 PDT- Coach Randy Shannon insists there will not be a quarterback controversy at Miami this season, but if not his words, his actions have the potential to lead to one.
As the Hurricanes began to put the final touches on preparations for their season opener against Charleston Southern, Shannon announced that redshirt freshman Robert Marve had won the starting job, but he wouldn't be playing in the first game.
Marve will serve a one-game suspension as the result of an incident last October in which he reportedly broke a car mirror and then briefly tried to elude police before stopping and giving himself up. He was charged with two misdemeanors. Thus, freshman Jacory Harris will get the starting nod, and Cannon Smith, another newcomer, will be his backup for the one...
